Tesla Roadster Game: Roadstar
A thruster-powered roadster, a highway full of traffic and a clock that won’t wait. Fire the cold-air thrusters, jump over the cars and beat the clock.
Roadstar is a free arcade racing game about the idea that made the next Tesla Roadster famous: a sports car with rocket-style thrusters. Tesla has talked for years about a “SpaceX package” for the Roadster — cold-gas thrusters that fire compressed air, with no combustion — for extra acceleration and short hops off the ground. Roadstar takes that idea and makes a game of it.
You drive a red, quad-thruster roadster down a busy highway. The thrusters run on one thruster charge meter: hold boost for a burst of speed, or fire them downwards to jump clean over the traffic — saloons, SUVs, vans and pickups. Spend the charge well and you fly past everything; waste it and you’re stuck in the queue while the clock runs down.
It runs in any modern browser on a laptop, desktop, tablet or phone. There’s nothing to download or install, and no sign-up.
BOOST.
JUMP.
BEAT THE CLOCK.
Each level adds a twist to the same core idea. Clearing a level unlocks the next one, plus a Time Attack mode where the clock counts up and you race for the fastest time.
- 00Pacific Flight — the original 6 km coast run through three stages, from dawn to a city lit up at night.
- 01Glassworks Sprint — the tutorial: drive, boost, jump, one step at a time.
- 02Blossom Burn — the thruster charge barely refills, so grab the A71 energy cells.
- 03Lantern Alley — boost through every gate on the beat.
- 04Hothouse Mirage — heat shimmer on the road and fake energy cells: skip the orange Xs.
- 05Pollen Gate Weave — thread weave gates left, then right.
- 06Canopy Night Launch — hit every launch ramp and fly.
- 07Tidewater Relay — pass the pace car and hold the lead to the line.
- 08Neon Unveil — wait for the countdown, then dump the whole thruster charge at once.
Race your own ghost. Finish a level and your best run is saved. Next time, a see-through roadster drives that run beside you, and the display shows how many metres ahead or behind you are.
Global high scores. Every level has a world leaderboard with three-letter initials. Scores can’t be faked: the server replays your recorded run through the same game engine and keeps the score it gets itself.
A world to fly through. Glasshouse domes, magenta blossom trees and searchlights, with a drone light show overhead that forms a space invader, an eagle and a galloping horse.
