World Search
Word search the world's cities — enter any town or country and get a puzzle built from its own streets and landmarks.
World Search is a free word search generator that makes the puzzle about somewhere real. Type in a town or a country — Bournemouth, Tokyo, Portugal — and it assembles a grid from that place's own roads, shops, landmarks and culture, then colours the whole thing in the national flag.
That is the difference from the word searches in the back of a newspaper. The words mean something to whoever is solving it. A puzzle built on your own town is full of streets you have walked down, which turns a time-filler into something closer to a memory exercise.
Three difficulty levels change the grid, the word count and which way the words run — Medium is a 17×17 grid of 22 words, some of them written backwards. Easy keeps every word reading left-to-right; Hard is 26 words hidden in all eight directions. There is a language selector, so the puzzle doesn't have to be in English.
It is deliberately big and clear rather than cramped, which makes it genuinely usable for older solvers, in care settings, or by anyone who would rather not squint. Solve it on screen, or print it and do it with a pen.
